generation of an eddy current as well as a photomagnetic information storage apparatuscapable of high speed data recording and reproduction. It has an annular coil 311surrounding an inner hole, and a plurality of magnetic rods 312 radially disposedcentering on the inner hole of the coil 311 so as to overlap the coil 311, insulated fromthe coil 311 and consisting of a magnetic material, the maximum width of each rod beingnot more than twice the minimum width.
