摘要：Provided is a threaded joint for a steel pipe, in which a cross thread is less likelyto occur and which has good resistance to compression loads. A threaded joint (10) isprovided with a pin (30) and a box (40). A male thread stabbing surface (34) of the pin (30)has two male thread stabbing steps (341, 342). The male thread stabbing step (341) is
formed on a side farther from the pipe axis X of the steel pipe (20), and has a stabbingangle (α1) of -10 to 15 degrees. The male thread stabbing step (342) is formed on a sidecloser to the pipe axis (X), and has a stabbing angle (α2) of 20 to 60 degrees. A femalestabbing surface (44) of the box (40) has two female thread stabbing steps (441, 442).The female thread stabbing step (441) is formed on a side farther from the pipe axis (X),and has a stabbing angle (α1) equal to the stabbing angle (α1) of the male threadstabbing step (341). The female thread stabbing step (442) is formed on a side closer tothe pipe axis (X), and has a stabbing angle (α2) equal to the stabbing angle (α2) of themale thread stabbing step (342).
