主要人物：老妇人、我、医生、儿子、女儿一、女儿二、女儿三）
Act 1
(在病房，母亲和儿子、女儿们)
S : Is it all right for us to leave ? You gonna be alone , also you need someone to accompany you in case you have something emergency to call for help . We must stay here .
M:(假装出身体状况很好，很有活力的样子) No no no，you see , I ‘ m in good condition. Moreover , there are so many doctors and nurses here , once I need someone , I call for them . So many days of accompanying with me , you must be tired and need to take a rest . What if all of you are too tired and got sick , wo will take care of me ? It OK to leave me alone for a night to get a break , my dear children . Don’t forget I’m the women who is strong enough to raise you up .
D2: Then we go , remember to call for nurse if you feel uncomfortable , or you are thirsty or you want to go to the toilet . Have a nice dream , my dear mother .
Act 2
(在回家的路上，儿子和女儿们)
D1: Do you remember when we were young , mom taught us to play the piano . It was too difficult for a 4-or-5-year-old child to learn , but she was so patience , and taught us time and time again and never scolded us. Do you remember her hands ? They are long and graceful, warm and soft . It was the hands that wiped away our tears when we are sad .It was the hands that raised us up when we fell . It was the hands that supported us from the moment we were born . God is a loving God that give us such a good mother .
S: So we must do the utmost to keep her with us as long as we can , no matter how much we’ll spend on it and how exhausted we’ll be to take care of her . Don’t you think so ?
D2 :Yeah , every time I think about she’ll pass away sooner or later , I can’t help crying .For such a long way we went together , but suddenly she’ll choose another way and went alone . I really can’t accept that .
Act 3
(在医院，我和医生)
DOCTOR : You’ll be tired tonight since Mrs.Clark is so week and tomorrow morning at the latest she’ll die .
I: I’m OK . You have worked for a whole day , you do need a break . By the way , doesn’t the old lady has any child ? Why there is no one here since she is
dying ?
DOCTOR :No, actually she is the mother of 7 , grandmother of 18 , she don’t want to have her family see her die , so she asked all her family to go home leaving her here alone .Do you think it is right to take every means to keep an elder man alive who is painful every moment with a skeleton body and failing organs ? It that love for their mother ?
I: There is no doubt that it is because of love that they want their mother to live longer , but I do think the deepest love is to let go at this time .
Act 4
(在医院，我和老妇人)
我站在那，感觉有一股怪味（皱鼻表现出来），我闭上了眼睛，有些反胃。我伸手去摸她放在胸前的细长手指，她稍稍转头，微微睁眼看着我。我俯下身子，勉强听到她微弱的声音: ”Water”。我从桌上拿起一杯水，用手指封着吸管的一端，滴几滴到她的嘴里，她因为力气太弱，无法吞咽。她干涩的说：More。于是又重复一遍上述动作。她也终于咽了一些，并轻声说：“Thank，you。”
我把她像孩子似得抱起来，给她翻了个身。我打开护肤霜的瓶盖，揩了一些在手心里。我小心翼翼地把护肤霜擦在她发黄的皮肤上，我挪了把椅子面朝她坐在床边，握住她那只没有被固定的手，观察着她那细长的手指。又观察了一下这间病房。
（房间里没有鲜花，没有孩子们画的彩虹和蝴蝶，也没有卡片。总而言之就是没有被爱着的痕迹！）
她似乎看出我的心思，平静的回答：“I sent…my family … home … tonight … didn’t … want … them … to see …”(尽量演得虚弱快要断气儿一些~~）
“我”一些不知所措，但她好像又看穿了我的心思，“you … stay …”
俩人一时无话。只闻俩人低低的呼吸声，不均匀的一起一落。就这样安静的注视着对方的眼睛。（注意眼神交流~）
她轻轻地握住“我”的手，而“我”对她回以微笑。
时间静静的流逝，不知过了多久，她那细弱的呼吸停止了。很快，微弱的脉搏也消失了。
“我”开始轻声哭泣。（手是一直不松开的~）
旁白：She’s gone , with her family’s love and concern during all of those years . She’s gone, with a stranger’s accompany in her last time of life . She’s gone , with a fully heart that contains so much beautiful memories.
Act5
(在医院，我和老妇人的儿子、女儿们)
I : I ‘m really sorry and everything will be all right . God bless kind men . I’m deeply saddened about this .
D3: Thank you for accompanying our mother in her last time . We are OK. Since mom don’t want us to see her dead , it must be her wish that we will spend the rest life happily with her love and spirit in our mind . Mom had fulfill her life by taking so many meaningful activities , by watching us growing up healthily and happily , by having so many people loving her .
I : One day you will cease to remember her with tears and instead remember her with smiles . Unable are the loved to die. For love is immortality.
