摘要：A method of determining deviations of an object under test from a standardobject which includes providing a record, such as a holographic record, of a coherent wavefront as modified by impinging on the standard object, illuminating the record with acoherent wave front modified by impinging on the test object, and comparing thefocusing of the test object modified wave with the maximum which is achieved when theobject corresponds to the standard. In a preferred form the wave modifications areproduced by reflection from the objects. The record may be either reflective ortransmissive and the coherent radiation may be either acoustic or electromagnetic.
