摘要：A method of manufacturing a filter (100,200) is disclosed in which first andsecond housing components (10,20,110,120,210,220) are provided that are engageablewith each other so as to define an enclosure for accommodating a filter medium (30,130).The first housing component (10,110,210) includes a continuous seat (18,118) thatextends about the periphery of said enclosure. A bead of adhesive (40, 140) is thenapplied to either the seat (18, 118) of the first housing component (10,110,210) or acontinuous part of the filter medium (30,130) that overlies said seat (18,118). The first andsecond housing components (10,20,110,120,210,220) are then engaged together suchthat pressure is applied to the bead of adhesive (40,140), and adhesive (40,140) isdisplaced into contact with an adjacent surface of the filter medium (30,130) and/or anadjacent surface of at least one of the housing components (10,20,110,120,210,220). Theadhesive (40,140) thereby forms a seal between the filter medium (30,130) and at leastone of the housing components (10,20,110,120,210,220).
